My hope is for my children to lean into me the way I lean into my own mum.
I learned resilience from my mother.
I learned you have to stand for yourself, trust your feelings, and honour who you truly are, by watching my mum grow throughout the years.
I learned being a loving and caring person does not make you weak but that those attributes actually make you stronger.
I learned I cannot bare the weight of the world on my own but that together we could weather any storm.
I learned she would always be there, to share in my victories and in my failures. That no phone call was ever unimportant and no fear too small to talk about.
My mum is my superhero.
And so my wish is that I can be, just even half as amazing to my children as my own mother is to me.
